Melissa Boyd joins Judge Carolyn Carluccio on the Hank Cisco to promote the Montgomery County Bar Association’s Courting Art Project.
On February 14, 2013, the Montgomery County Bar Association, through the efforts of the Community Outreach Committee for which Melissa M. Boyd, Esquire serves as Vice Chair, launched a project, “Courting Art.” Through a series of juried art initiatives, Courting Art hopes to promote a more comfortable, visitor-friendly atmosphere inside the courthouse by populating it with artwork made by county residents aged 55 or better. Local seniors are invited to submit paintings, drawings or mixed media with the theme “What I love about Montgomery County.” Winning pieces will be reproduced and displayed throughout the courthouse for years to come. The Montgomery County Community College Fine Arts Center will house the exhibition. On May 13, 2013, the winning artists will be revealed and a VIP reception and awards ceremony will follow.
