Judith Algeo honored by Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania

High Swartz Family Law Attorney Judith Algeo was honored on May 19, 2022 by LASP: Legal Aid of Southeastern PA as a “sustainer of Legal Aid for the last 20 years”. The anniversary event, LASP 20+ Fête for Justice: 4 Freedoms, 4 Counties, 4 Justice! was held at Normandy Farm in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania and honored 40+ of the most influential Legal Aid attorneys and members.

Judith has been a member of the LASP Board since 2008 and was the Board president from 2018-2020. The goal of Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania has always been to provide quality legal representation to low-income and vulnerable people in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties. In 2001, the 4 separate programs from those counties join forces to create LASP.

The Keynote Speaker at the event was sociologist Dr. Reuben Jonathan Miller, author of Halfway Home: Race, Punishment and the Afterlife of Mass Incarceration. They also welcomed Trapeta B. Mayson, Poet Laureate of Philadelphia from 2020-21, as Fête for Justice Poet. The event was a reunion of sorts that brought together many influential members of LASP’s past and present.
