High Swartz LLP proudly congratulates Mary Cushing Doherty, Esq., Of Counsel, on receiving the Honorable Katherine Platt Award for Mentoring and Volunteerism from the Doris Jonas Freed American Inn of Court. The award recognizes Mary’s decades-long commitment to mentoring attorneys and advancing professionalism within the family law community.

A certified Arbitrator and Mediator, she is known for guiding clients toward resolution with a balance of strategic insight and empathy. She also played a significant role in statewide legal reform efforts, including service on the Pennsylvania Domestic Violence Task Force and the PBA’s legislative committees.

Beyond her legal work, Mary continues to advocate for patient rights as Chair of the Pennsylvania Advocacy Committee for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and was named the organization’s National Outstanding State Leader in 2023.

This latest award joins a long list of honors recognizing Mary’s impact on both the legal and broader community. We’re proud to celebrate her contributions and the well-deserved recognition of her legacy!
