Donna Marcus Braslow is Of Counsel at High Swartz LLP, representing clients in Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware Counties and throughout the greater Philadelphia region. She concentrates her practice exclusively on family law, including divorce, custody, child support, and Protection from Abuse matters.

Donna’s background as a former Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia shapes her practical, courtroom-focused approach. She draws on years of litigation experience to guide clients through high-conflict and complex family law disputes with preparation and resolve.

Divorce, Custody, and Child Support Representation

Donna represents clients in a broad range of family law matters, including:

  • Divorce and equitable distribution
  • Complex custody litigation
  • Child support, including interstate and modification matters
  • Paternity actions
  • Protection from Abuse proceedings
  • Appeals and contempt hearings

During her tenure with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, Donna served in the Child Support Enforcement Unit, where she represented plaintiffs and the Department of Public Assistance in interstate support cases, paternity matters, appeals, and enforcement actions. She also worked in Drug Treatment Court and the Public Nuisance Task Force, gaining courtroom experience across diverse legal settings.

Her early legal experience included work with the Family Violence and Sexual Assault Unit of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office and participation in Temple University’s Domestic Relations Custody Mediation Clinical Program.

Leadership, Service, and Professional Involvement

Donna is active in the Montgomery County legal community. She serves as a Friend of the Court for Protection from Abuse hearings in Montgomery County and is a certified Child Advocate with the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project (MCAP), representing children who are victims of abuse.

She is a member of the Montgomery Bar Association, where she has held leadership roles including Co-Chair of the Membership and Development Committee and Co-Chair of the Women in the Law Committee. She is also a member of the MBA Family Law Section and a graduate of the MBA Leadership Academy.

Donna is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section and the Doris Jonas Freed American Inn of Court, where she has served in programming and leadership roles. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the Louis D. Brandeis Law Society.

Published Author and Legal Educator

Donna regularly writes and speaks on family law topics. Her published work has appeared in the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Lawyer Magazine and the Pennsylvania Law Weekly, addressing issues such as custody, paternity, gray divorce, domestic violence remedies, and evolving statutory protections for victims of sexual violence.

She frequently plans and moderates continuing legal education programs for the Montgomery Bar Association and the Doris Jonas Freed Matrimonial Inn of Court, focusing on custody practice, ethical considerations in family law, civility in the profession, and bias and inclusion in legal advocacy.

Education and Admissions

Donna earned her Juris Doctor from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware.

She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
