Termination of Child Support in Pennsylvania

Termination of child support payments and when is a substantial and nuanced question we often receive as family lawyers. These can include medical fees, children’s school and activity expenses, and food and clothing necessities. These court-ordered payments commonly end when […]

Client Testimonials

M.W.C.

“Missy Boyd is the best of the best. I was referred to her from my previous divorce attorney, who is also excellent. He felt, however, that Missy could do a better job for my children and me in our custody case. And boy, did she deliver! Missy is responsive, getting back to each and every email and phone call within hours, sometimes even immediately. She cares deeply for her clients and their families, and being a mom herself, she understood everything I was going through. Missy is an extremely effective litigator. We went through a full trial, and we came out on top. In the courtroom, she was calm, collected, sensible, and sharp as a tack. She was also very likeable with the judge. Her knowledge of family law goes above and beyond any other attorney I’ve come in contact with. Missy listens to everything her clients have to say, remembers all of it, and takes every piece of information into account to get the best results possible for her client and family. Missy utilizes her support staff as much as possible to keep my fees reasonable, knowing that I have limited resources. But, she is worth every penny. Her expertise, professionalism, and skill are unparalleled. I am eternally grateful to have found her and cannot recommend her highly enough.”

Don I.

“Missy Boyd represented me in my divorce case. Comparing her to the defense in the case, well no comparison. Missy is very professional with ethics. She never played into the games that some attorneys chose to play. She knew every detail of my case inside and out. I was very happy with the outcome which was better than expected!! I can’t say enough about her and the entire team that worked on my case at High Swartz.”

Laura D.

“Missy Boyd is smart, direct, kind, attentive, a quick thinker and a good listener. She did an excellent job at breaking down the complicated financial details of my case and presenting me with my options. She was open and receptive to listening to me and my thoughts/concerns/ideas on how to proceed. Missy is accessible and returns your call or email as quickly as she can, always making sure you understand the complex legal language and nuances of your case while answering all of your questions. She would give her legal and personal opinion, but then would consider any of my input, and we worked collaboratively, along with her excellent staff, to secure my divorce settlement, which felt fair to both parties, allowing my ex-husband and I to enjoy an amicable relationship throughout the divorce and five years later! Missy Boyd is well-connected and well-regarded amongst the PA legal community. As a mother and wife, she understands the family dynamic and is especially sensitive to this aspect of divorce. Missy is not a bulldog, but she can be firm, direct, and assertive when needed. She does her research/homework!! She is a good person, has become a good friend- cheering me on as I dealt with breast cancer after my divorce- sending me flowers on several meaningful days, including remembering my final day of chemotherapy, because she is a genuinely caring and thoughtful person! And she can laugh and enjoy the lighter moments in life! I highly recommend Missy Boyd!”

Mike Z.

“I was referred to Missy Boyd by a friend to help with a difficult divorce that involved extensive custody issues. Although there were many assets involved after a 20 year marriage, Missy always kept my children’s needs and best interests a top priority, the entire time. My children and I will always be grateful to her for her compassion and professionalism. Divorce is not easy but sometimes a necessary decision. Missy was there for us and we would not be where we are today without her help. Many thanks.”

Richard P.

“My attorney, Missy Boyd, and her team were not only extremely competent but always courteous and very professional in their behavior with all participants in the litigation. High Swartz as a firm were a great value for their fees and always quickly responsive to all my inquiries.”

Ray S.

“My divorce was handled by Melissa Boyd. Her expertise and dedication to the job was only part of the process. Missy truly cares about her clients. She went above and beyond the job on too many occasions to mention. I was able to get through a very difficult time thanks to Missy and the team at High Swartz.”

J.H.K.

“As president of the board of directors of ACLAMO Family Centers, I appreciate the support of High Swartz for the Latino community and especially for the hours of work which Missy Boyd has invested in ACLAMO.”
